Hi I’m Liz— Maui-born, Oregon-based. I design products that center humanity, bringing joy and ease to each experience. As the first woman in my family to earn a college degree (BFA, University of Oregon), my path has always been about breaking new ground. And as the sixth of seven children, I’ve mastered the art of both independent drive and radical collaboration. My global travels and insatiable curiosity have forged a design perspective that is equal parts adventurous and intentional.

My career began in undergrad, designing for a NYC-based Fortune 500 company before transitioning into full-time freelance design and development for diverse agencies and individuals from 2013-2015. In 2015, I joined Ruffwear as their sole in-house Product Designer, after having worked with them in a contract-client capacity while Freelancing. While in-house there, I led everything from color and product strategy to sustainable 'Go-to-Market' initiatives and, of course, Product Design. In 2022, I shifted my work back to Independent Consulting, where I was able to continue to work with Ruffwear, in addition to partnering with brands of all scales, from agile startups to global corporations. I am currently designing product and color application for the Nike, Jordan and ACG labels. Additionally, I give back to students and up-and-coming designers though mentorship and career guidance, whenever possible.

I’m highly skilled in Adobe Illustrator and human-centered design processes. I’m also skilled in Adobe Photoshop and various 3D CAD softwares (including: Solidworks, Rhino, Fusion360, SketchUp) as well as hand-built prototyping processes. I’m trained in AI tools such as Vizcom.

I love dance, dogs, great coffee, bad horror films and all manner of puzzles.
You should also know that I take Halloween very seriously.
